Reports have surfaced that Christian Pulisic, the AC Milan winger, is facing a wave of death threats and online abuse after a heated 1-0 win against Lazio in the Serie A clash on Friday.
In a game where Lazio ended with only eight players, Pulisic was directly involved in two of the three dismissals.

After the match, Pulisic shared images of the celebration on Instagram, which triggered a flood of malicious comments directed towards him.
Despite the negativity, Pulisic also received overwhelming support from fans, with heartening words coming from his Milan teammate Theo Hernández, who expressed his solidarity with the player.
The match saw Luca Pellegrini receiving two quick yellow cards resulting in his dismissal in the 67th minute, both for fouls against Pulisic. Additionally, Matteo Guendouzi was shown a straight red card in stoppage time for his misconduct towards Pulisic after a foul, during which Pulisic himself was cautioned by the referee.
Adam Marusic of Lazio also saw a red card in stoppage time, further adding to the drama of the game.
