After its successful run in Japanese theaters, the highly anticipated SAND LAND anime is making its way to Disney+ with a worldwide release starting March 20. Not only are the details for the seven-episode series announced, but plans for future episodes are also revealed, along with a new teaser video for fans to enjoy.
The initial six episodes of the SAND LAND anime will adapt the events of the original film for the small screen, setting the stage for a brand new narrative starting from episode seven. Episodes 7 to 13 will venture into Forestland, introducing viewers to fresh characters such as Anna (voice of Mikako Komatsu) and Meunière (voice of Ayumu Murase). Creator Akira Toriyama’s captivating new visual sets the tone for the upcoming adventure.
The SAND LAND film is brought to life under the direction of Toshihisa Yokoshima and Hiroshi Kojina, with production handled by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and ANIMA.
