Allegedly, Perez drove Martinez to the library to meet Solis for the rifle purchase. During the exchange, Solis gave Martinez a duffle bag containing the rifle, the documents said.
Authorities stated that Martinez paid Solis with counterfeit money, and the confrontation turned into a deadly shootout between the teens.
Both teens were shot, and an arrest affidavit mentioned that Perez hid a 9 mm pistol in the bushes before calling 911.

Upon arrival, Perez allegedly provided authorities with a different handgun. Initially, he denied witnessing the shooting, but later he reportedly confessed that he was aware of Martinez’s intention to use fake money to rob Solis for the weapon.
Perez is currently in custody at the Dallas County jail with a $2 million bond, according to jail records.
