The countdown to president-elect Donald Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration has begun, and Americans are awaiting the start of a new presidential administration.
There’s much to tackle, and the lead-up to the inauguration has been a slow burn of demanding national and international issues that run the gamut from immigration to the economy to foreign policy and everything in between.
Along the campaign trail, Trump made several promises for how he’d spend his first 100 days – like close the border between the U.S. and Mexico and push more than 100 executive orders, among other plans.
Some standout issues he is looking to prioritize in his second term include: starting mass deportations of migrants, rolling back federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) requirements in schools and protections for LGBTQ individuals, reversing environmental protections, and pardoning people who were arrested for their role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
For many Americans, the economy is the most important issue to them, according to a Gallup poll. Healthcare, the climate change crisis, foreign affairs, and a myriad of other issues all weigh on Americans who expect to see changes in the next four years.
On the precipice of a new presidency, we want to know what issues should be prioritized for the first 100 days of Trump’s second term in office.
What issues matter most to you, your family, community, and/or loved ones? What are your hopes, concerns, and questions about the Trump administration?
