Saudi Arabia’s drilling player Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) has completed a major upgrade to its new offshore rigs, providing drilling support for the country’s oil and gas giant, Aramco.

Arabian Drilling has announced that the AD130, AD140, and AD150 rigs were recently added to its offshore fleet, initiating five-year contracts in July 2023 with above-average day rates. The company has revealed a video detailing the journey of these three rigs in its expanding offshore jack-up rig fleet.
The upgrades, completed in record time with zero incidents, focused on enhancing the rigs’ technical capabilities and supporting the ADC’s customers in Saudi Arabia.
Ghassan Mirdad, CEO of Arabian Drilling, commented: “This achievement is a testament to our continuous efforts to deliver operations excellence and drive value for our stakeholders. This project wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work, collaboration, and commitment of our team.”
The upgrades follow Arabian Drilling’s recent contract extensions for several onshore and offshore rigs and plans to expand its land rig fleet.
