Loki broke records during the finale of season two, with nearly 200 million more minutes of viewing than the previous week. The excitement is palpable as fans are eager to see what’s next.
While it’s great news, Loki still couldn’t quite match the viewership of its first season, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. On the bright side, Bluey claimed the top spot overall, and Friends continues to see a surge in numbers following the passing of star Matthew Perry.
Debuting on Nov. 9, the finale of Loki attracted a whopping 753 million minutes of viewing, marking a 34 percent increase from the previous week. A staggering 3.39 billion minutes were tallied over the six weeks of season two, slightly behind the first season’s 5.23 billion minutes.
As Bluey secured the lead with 918 million minutes, it appears the week didn’t see a single title reach the billion-minute mark. Two newcomers to the charts, Blue Eye Samurai and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, made their presence known with millions of minutes of viewing.
David Fincher’s The Killer topped the movie chart with an impressive 650 million minutes in its opening week on Netflix.
Overall, it’s an exciting time for streaming content. The rankings for the week of Nov. 6-12 are as follows:
