Aldi is making life easier yet again with an inexpensive new kitchen tool.

To paraphrase Jane Austen: If I loved Aldi less, I might be able to talk about it more. The grocery chain has amassed a cult following for its budget-friendly pantry staples and inexpensive home goods that don’t skimp on quality. I use my turquoise Crofton Dutch oven from Aldi at least once a week, and every time, I marvel at the fact that it only cost me $24.99. So, I’m overjoyed about this Aldi Find that costs even less and is about to improve my quality of life.
What is this magical Aldi kitchen tool?
Cooking, I love it. Oil splatters? Not so much. Layering up with an apron may work to protect your clothes, but I’m usually halfway through cooking and decidedly covered in oil by the time I remember that I have one hanging in the pantry. Even if I somehow remember to don an apron, that doesn’t do anything to protect my stovetop or walls from the splash zone, which makes cleanup a headache.
Aldi has swooped in to save me and my kitchen with its Crofton Stainless Steel Splatter Guard—which is a steal at $4.99.
The splatter guard rests neatly on top of any pan to minimize mess while pan-frying ingredients. I would argue that you could also use it as a sifter if you need to add a bit of cornstarch or flour to your pan to thicken a sauce. It has a cute enameled handle in a pretty mint green—a color Aldi has been using lately for its cooking tools (very convenient for me since that’s my kitchen accent color). Storing the splatter guard will be a breeze, since it’s flat and can easily slip into whatever corner of your kitchen is free.
How long will it be available for?
The splatter guard should be in stock for about a week or so after launch. As any fan of Aldi products will know, the company’s tagline of “here today, gone tomorrow” rings especially true for kitchen gadgets. If you feel like this splatter guard is your new kitchen must-have, I’d make a trip to the store as soon as possible. As if you needed another excuse to make an Aldi run!
