NFL Week 13 Odds: Best Picks to Bet on Sunday’s Schedule
The Miami Dolphins are expected to have yet another explosive afternoon through the air in NFL Week 13. Tua Tagovailoa and Co. face the Washington Commanders, who have one of the league’s worst passing defenses, on Sunday. The Dolphins are the largest favorite on Sunday’s slate, but that should not deter you from selecting them as one of your best bets. Washington has been gashed by top-tier wide receivers all season and it allowed 76 points in its last two games. The firing of defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio may not do anything to help the Commanders as they inch closer to a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Miami is one of a few favorites who can be trusted in mismatches on Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers feel like safe picks against the spread as well.
Miami (-9) at Washington
Miami’s incredible passing offense should feast on the porous Washington secondary. The Commanders gave up their fourth 300-yard concession through the air on Thanksgiving Day in the blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles on two occasions posted over 300 passing yards against the Commanders. Washington allowed 146 points in those four defeats, the worst of which was by 35 points to Dallas 10 days ago. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle should post massive receiving-yard totals against a Commanders defense that has given up the most yards to opposing wide receivers. All Miami’s passing offense does is throw the ball to wide receivers, so Tagovailoa should pick apart the mismatches across the Washington secondary. Miami produced five double-digit wins so far this season, and as long as its offense plays at its expected level, it should add another victory to that tally at FedEx Field.
Atlanta (-2) at New York Jets
The New York Jets proved week in and week out that they do not have a competitive offense. That unit hit a new low in Week 12, as it gained nothing of significance on the Miami defense at home. The Atlanta Falcons have not had the best defensive season, but they have held four teams under 20 points. Their lowest point concession came against the Carolina Panthers, who like the Jets, are going through all sorts of offensive struggles. New York has no magic fix in sight for its offense, so that could mean another week of struggles behind Tim Boyle. Atlanta’s offense is coming together nicely now that head coach Arthur Smith involved rookie running back Bijan Robinson more.
