Connections is a recent brain teaser game introduced by the New York Times. This game presents you with a challenge to categorize a selection of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying the relationships between them. The game resets daily at midnight, and each new puzzle varies in difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
Some puzzles are more complex than others. If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, you can find helpful tips and hints below. And if you’re still stumped, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
When playing Connections, you will encounter a grid containing 16 words. Your goal is to group these words into four sets of four by recognizing the connections that bind them together. These sets can revolve around themes like video game titles, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.

While some words may seem fitting for multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You have the option to shuffle the word grid to aid in identifying potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If you are correct, the words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Guess incorrectly, and it will count as a mistake. You have a total of four mistakes before the game concludes.
