Alika Jenne just revealed that Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze played through a broken rib and punctured lung. That’s right, you read that correctly! In a display of incredible perseverance and dedication, Odunze suffered these injuries while recovering an onside kick against Arizona. Despite facing these serious medical issues, he never missed a game and continued to play at the highest level and ended the season with an exceptional 81 catches for 1,423 yards and 13 touchdowns. Thanks to his outstanding performance, the Huskies went 13-0 and secured the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff. This is an inspiring testament to Odunze’s skill and toughness, and it’s no surprise that he is being considered a first-round NFL draft prospect.
