Adding a New Twist

Exploring the vast world of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was made easier with Ultrahand, almost like a divine intervention from Hylia herself. Instead of walking everywhere, why not build a hoverbike within seconds? It made us wish for such a feature in previous Zelda games like Ocarina of Time.

Surprisingly, a modder named notCHase has recreated this building feature in the PC version of Ocarina of Time, and the results are quite amusing (source: Gaming Reinvented). Although the functionalities are simpler compared to Tears of the Kingdom, it still gets the job done.

The video featured on the modder’s YouTube channel showcases the ‘N64’ Ultrahand in action, demonstrating Link constructing a basic cart (similar to what we do in Tears of the Kingdom) and taking it for a ride around Hyrule.

For those who have faced off against Kokiri Mido’s frustrations, watching the mod in action can be therapeutic.

While this mod may not offer the same complexity as Tears of the Kingdom’s building tool, it’s amusing to see Link’s arm undergo a polygonal makeover.
