Before the New Year, we said goodbye to the legendary NMA co-founder and motocross promoter Ron Henricksen at the age of 88. With events like the World Mini Grand Prix and the NMA Grand National Championships, Henricksen laid the groundwork for what youth and amateur motocross looks like today. He played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of future supercross and motocross stars like Jeff Ward, Broc Glover, Rick Johnson, and many more.
Tomorrow (January 11, 2024), the Henricksen family invites everyone to Ron’s funeral and a Celebration of Life, starting at 1:00 p.m. in Temecula, CA. The funeral will be held at Temecula Cemetery, followed by the Celebration of Life from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Blackbird Restaurant in Old Town Temecula.
After the service, all are welcome to Blackbird Restaurant for lunch and drinks to honor Ron’s extraordinary life.
