Looking for the best outdoor security cameras? We have tested and reviewed numerous options to narrow down the top contenders. While the following cameras didn’t quite make our top choices, they are still worth considering.
Imou Knight Spotlight Camera for $180 or £100. A great design and robust features make this an ideal security camera for the right location. It boasts up to 4K recording with HDR, a 600-lumen spotlight, and the option to use microSD cards up to 256 GB (sold separately) for local storage. While its app offers an array of features, the AI is not always accurate. Unfortunately, the low frame rate can lead to blurry footage, but overall, it’s a close contender.
Reolink Go PT Ultra for $250. If you’re in need of a wireless security camera that connects to 3G or 4G LTE networks, this one from Reolink is a solid choice. It can record up to 4K video on a local microSD card (sold separately) or via cloud storage. With color night vision and a built-in solar panel, it’s a reliable option, although subject categorization can be hit or miss. And be sure to check your carrier’s compatibility and get a SIM card before purchasing.
Annke NC800 for $350. Offering high resolution footage up to 4K and color night vision, the NC800 is an IP camera designed for local use with an NVR or local microSD card recordings. It requires PoE or Ethernet connection to your router, so cable management will be necessary. Picture quality is excellent with no lag, and the app even supports 2FA with fingerprint unlocking, though configuration can be complicated.
Defender Guard Pro for $134. While providing quality features such as 2K video, two-way audio, and local storage, the Defender Guard Pro may be challenging to set up due to a required power cable and increased price point.
Wyze Cam OG for $24 and Wyze Cam OG Telephoto for $34. When paired together, these affordable cameras create a reliable solution for your security needs.
