During the concert, Daddy Yankee opened up to an enthusiastic crowd in Puerto Rico. He talked about feeling a void for a long time and trying to fill it. He acknowledged that despite all his worldly success, he was empty without God.

“I’ve traveled the world, collected numerous awards and acclaim, but I came to a realization that the Bible speaks about,” Daddy Yankee revealed in Spanish. “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?”

Yankee stated that he is proudly declaring that Jesus lives within him.

“…Jesus lives in me, and I will live for Him,” the artist declared. “The Bible states that whoever declares their faith here on Earth will also be declared before the Lord.”

The musician wrapped up his announcement by dedicating all his achievements, especially his multi-platform success, to spreading the word of God.

“I hope you’ll join me in this new journey,” Daddy told his fans. “Never follow any man. I’m just His follower.

The ‘Gasolina’ artist shared the concert confession on Dec. 4 on his Instagram feed. Despite limiting who can comment, the post pulled in over 47,000 comments from his 48.9 million followers. It features nearly two million likes.
