Exciting news for Cleveland Cavaliers fans as star guard Darius Garland has been cleared for on-court activities after being sidelined for a month with a jaw injury. The injury occurred during a game against the Boston Celtics on Dec. 14, when Garland collided with Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis. This left Garland unable to play and restricted to a liquid diet while his jaw healed.
Now, with the wiring removed from his jaw, Garland is expected to be back on the court in two weeks. His absence has not stopped the Cavaliers from performing, as they have gone 12-3 since his injury, currently on a five-game winning streak.
Cleveland has faced another setback with power forward Evan Mobley sidelined due to knee surgery, but despite this, they have maintained their success, sitting at second in the Central Division and fourth in the Eastern Conference as they head into the second half of the season.
