Destiny 2’s The Dawning is an annual holiday event that offers a unique gameplay addition known as snowballs, which can be used to slow and freeze enemies. This new weapon has been a powerful tool in past events and adds an element of fun to the game.
However, players who have been participating in The Dawning in 2023 may have noticed that snowballs are not as effective as they used to be. Despite supposed upgrades, players have found that snowballs are not living up to expectations, making it difficult to complete various challenges.
A recent thread on reddit suggests that the snowball upgrades from Eva may not be functioning as intended. This has resulted in a number of issues, such as extended slow not working, snowballs failing to create a Stasis mine on impact, shattering frozen enemies not dropping snowballs, and inconsistencies in freezing enemies.
Additionally, the modifier that is supposed to create snowballs on kill only seems to work in specific locations, making it a restrictive addition to the event.
