Good news for NASCAR fans! The Speedway at Iowa is finally added to the 2024 schedule, and the Cup Series race will be at the 7/8-mile (1.4 km) track. No longer just for the Xfinity and Truck Series events, fans can now catch the thrilling action of the Cup Series at the venue.

Get ready for Iowa’s first-ever Cup Series race, presented by the Iowa Corn Growers Association as its title sponsor. NASCAR will be partnering with Iowa Corn to highlight the performance of ethanol, promoting renewable fuel right from the heart of the cornfields in Iowa.

In a time when global warming is a major concern, NASCAR has stayed true to its commitment to using renewable fuels. With a 15% ethanol mixture, the Iowa 350 powered by Ethanol will mark the first Cup Series event in the state.

Stan Nelson, the Iowa Corn Promotion Board President, stated, “I am pleased to share with the NASCAR family, why choosing higher blends of ethanol benefits everyone,” Nelson also added, “We can make a sustainable difference today, without buying a whole new vehicle, but by simply choosing to fuel up with ethanol at the pump. And not only are we benefiting the environment, but also our economy, as ethanol, is the most affordable renewable fuel option on the market today,

According to Ben Kennedy, Vice President of the organization, “We’re really excited to be heading to Iowa Speedway. The first time in what will be the 76-year history that we’ve had a [Cup] race at Iowa Speedway, and the first time in a really long time that we’ve had a [Cup] race in the state of Iowa, so we’re excited to get there.”
