John Stamos confesses to drowning his sorrows after being arrested for DUI in 2015
The “Full House” star, 60, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Beverly Hills in June 2015.
After his DUI incident, Stamos recognized that he had found his lowest point. This brought him down post the regretful incident and he felt extremely frustrated with himself. He hated the consequences, disappointed his loved ones, and despised the image in the reflection that did not align with his upbringing. His worst nightmares had turned to reality.
Despite his disappointment, he then traveled to Canada to begin the filming for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.”
Nonetheless, he confessed to People that he became reliant on the bottle of wine to escape his shameful truth. Even during the shooting of the movie, he was loosely buzzed, avoiding his grim reality. His hazy memory recollections clearly indicate his frequent state of intoxication.
Stamos felt so embarrassed about his behavior, that he entered a 30-day substance abuse program in July that year and took significant strides toward recovery.
