Keke Palmer & Darius Daulton Jackson Delay Court Date for Restraining Order

Although Keke Palmer and Darius Daulton Jackson had a court date set, the anticipation about their case will have to wait.

As was previously covered by The Shade Room, Palmer was able to secure a temporary restraining order against Jackson in November.

Past claims made by Palmer accused Jackson of being abusive during the time they spent together. Along with a request for sole custody, Palmer sought legal custody of their son.

Page Six obtained court documents filed in a Los Angeles court by Palmer on Thursday. According to the documents, Palmer and Jackson began custody “discussions” on Wednesday, November 29. Both parties have chosen to continue their conversation on a “mutually agreeable date,” which has yet to be decided. Palmer and Jackson have also agreed that the December 5 hearing regarding Palmer’s temporary restraining order against Jackson can be postponed “until they resolve their issues in mediation.”

There has been no new date set for the restraining order hearing, as Page Six has reported. However, the order will remain in effect until the new hearing.

“[The parties] agree that all orders contained in the Temporary Restraining Order issued on November 9, 2023, shall remain in full force and effect until the hearing,” the court documents reportedly read.

A Look Back On The Actor’s Allegations Against Darius Daulton Jackson

Palmer filed for legal and sole custody of her son with Jackson on November 9. During this time, Palmer shared her concerns for the safety of her infant.

“I am very concerned for Leo’s safety with Darius given his violent, volatile, and jealous nature, comments he has made which have caused me grave concern, and the lack of restraint Darius has already exhibited regarding his temper in front of our son,” Palmer reportedly mentioned.

Following her claims, a temporary restraining order was granted to the actor against Jackson, preventing him from coming near Palmer and their son Leo.

According to RadarOnline, Jackson was also instructed to turn in his handguns following the order.

A short time after, the public learned about an alleged altercation between Palmer and Jackson, with screenshots surfacing from security footage of the incident. Palmer claimed the altercation took place on November 5.

For example, Jackson reportedly trespassed into her home and lunged at her, knocking her over her couch. In another incident, Palmer accused Jackson of choking and slamming her onto stairs.

Following the reports, Palmer’s mother came to her defense and accused Jackson’s brother of similar behavior.
