Keke Palmer will star alongside Eddie Murphy in The Pickup, a heist comedy being directed by Tim Story for Amazon MGM Studios.
Murphy, Pete Davidson, along with Story and John David and John Fox will be producing. Charisse Hewitt-Webster of Eddie Murphy Productions will also be producing.
As for the plot details, those are under wraps, but the script by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows is described as a heist comedy.
The project is set to begin filming in February.
Additional executive producers include Vicky Mara Story, Jeremy Stein, Kevin Burrows, Ross Fanger, and Matt Mider.
Amazon and Eddie Murphy recently saw success with Candy Cane Lane, a Christmas comedy quickly becoming one of the most-watched Amazon MGM Studios-produced movie debut in the U.S. and among its top 10 worldwide film debuts for the streamer in its first three days of release.
In her most recent work, Palmer starred with Daniel Kaluuya in Jordan Peele’s Nope, did voicework in Pixar’s Lightyear and the Disney series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Other credits include Alice, which she also executive produced, and Hustlers, alongside Jennifer Lopez.
Palmer is repped by 3 Arts, LUNA Entertainment, and Hertz Lichtenstein.
