The Aurus brand, Russia’s first luxury car brand, is highly esteemed​ and​ has been⁢ used in motorcades⁤ for top officials since Putin’s inauguration in 2018. The⁢ introduction of ‌the Aurus limousine to Kim Jong Un adds to his collection of ⁣foreign-made luxury cars.

North Korea’s Luxury ​Car Collection

Kim Jong Un, known‍ for his affinity⁤ for luxury vehicles, is⁤ reported to have a variety‌ of foreign-made cars‌ that are believed to have been illegally imported into North Korea. During his previous visit to Russia, he used a Maybach limousine for transportation.

Additionally, a recent​ United Nations report shed light ‌on an attempted shipment of luxury vehicles worth over $1 million destined for North Korea, highlighting the country’s continued ‌pursuit of luxury items despite international sanctions.

Increasing Relations amid Global Tensions
