A high school in South Florida is making headlines nationally once again, this time due to a particularly violent incident. A shocking video that surfaced on Tuesday showed a white male student from Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School being slammed and brutally beaten by a group of Black students. The extent of his injuries was severe, with a resulting skull fracture. As a result, the teenager is now receiving treatment in a local hospital for the non-life-threatening injuries he sustained.
The viral video unsurprisingly sparked outrage within the community, especially given that the same school faced a devastating shooting in 2018 that claimed the lives of 17 people. The incident has also sparked backlash on social media, with many right-wing accounts highlighting a perceived double standard in the coverage of school violence.

On X, formerly Twitter, the End Wokeness account posted to its 2 million followers, “A white kids from Stoneman Douglas High has been hospitalized after being chased and attacked by a group of black teens. Last month, a white teenager in Vegas was beaten and killed during a similar incident. These incidents should spark public outcry and lead to a national conversation about what is going on in our schools. Instead, we get radio silence from all the major talking heads.”
The conservative account, iamyesyouareno, shared, “A white Florida high school student is slammed headfirst onto concrete by a group of black students. This won’t receive major mainstream media coverage because it won’t fit their narrative.”
The Dapper Detective account shared, “A Florida high school student is slammed headfirst onto the concrete after being savagely beaten by a group of blacks. Now reverse the roles…BLM would burn the entire country down.”
Police from Coral Springs responded to a “report of a fight” at a community park at 3 p.m., the department revealed on X. Police have not confirmed how many people were involved or if all were students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
