New Beginnings: Introducing Google Gemini
Google has rebranded its AI chatbot Bard to Google Gemini, unveiling significant enhancements and features to its advanced artificial intelligence system. The latest iteration, Google Gemini, offers support for 40 languages and is now accessible via the Gemini app for Android and iPhone in the United States.
The Evolution of Google AI
The former Google chatbot Bard has been replaced by Google Gemini, a sophisticated AI model consisting of three tiers: Gemini Nano, Gemini Pro, and Gemini Ultra. Notably, Gemini Ultra stands out as Google’s most powerful AI model designed for handling intricate tasks with precision.
Global Accessibility and Enhanced Capabilities
Google Gemini is now available globally in 40 different languages, including English and German. Users in the USA can access the Gemini AI through a dedicated app on Android devices like the Google Pixel 8 Pro and in the Google app for iOS on iPhones. The free version of Gemini is powered by the AI model Pro 1.0, while advanced features and performance are offered through the paid subscription service, Gemini Advanced.
Introducing Gemini Advanced: A New AI Subscription Service
Google has launched the premium AI subscription service, Gemini Advanced, in 150 countries. This service leverages the powerful Gemini Ultra 1.0 AI platform and is currently available in Germany, with plans for expansion to other regions. As a special offering, subscribers in Germany will receive a complimentary Google One AI Premium subscription for two months, followed by a subscription fee of 21.99 euros per month.
Enhanced Benefits with Google One Subscription
Subscribers to Google One enjoy additional perks such as 2 TB of storage across Google Photos, Gmail, and Google Drive for themselves and up to five others. Moreover, Gemini integration with Gmail, Docs, and other tools is on the horizon, along with exclusive benefits like store credits, extended group video calls in Google Meet, and improved functions in Google Calendar.

Google’s AI Integration Across Products
In a recent blog post, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the integration of Gemini into various Google products like Workspace and Google Cloud. Duet AI will transition into Gemini for Workspace, offering customers access to the advanced AI capabilities in tools like Gmail, Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Meet through the Google One AI Premium subscription. Similarly, Duet AI will evolve into Gemini for Cloud customers in the near future.
