Clearwater, FL, February 10, 2024 –(PR.com)– The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center recently held its monthly “Charity Tea Party” on Saturday, January 24th. In partnership with Feed Our Children (FOC) Ministries, the event aimed to collect in-kind donations for the underprivileged community of Tampa Bay. Donations included non-perishable foods and hygiene products which will benefit FOC Ministries. Guests were able to enjoy an afternoon tea while giving back to those in need.
Feed Our Children Ministries, led by Pastor Moses Brown, has been serving the Tampa Bay community since 1986. The organization provides clothing, food, and hygiene items to those less fortunate. During the Charity Tea, Ms. Michelle Coote, a volunteer at FOC Ministries, shared the importance of community support. She emphasized how many families lack the most basic necessities for daily living, such as food and hygiene products. Ms. Coote highlighted the significance of community involvement in supplying these essential items to those in need.
Recent census data reveals that approximately six hundred thousand teenagers and children reside in the Tampa Bay area, with 15 percent living in poverty. This equates to about 1 in 7 children lacking access to essential life necessities.
Tracy Hawkins, the manager of the Center, explained that the monthly Charity Tea is just one way they give back to the community. By collaborating with local nonprofits and providing them with necessary resources, they aim to make a positive impact. The Center operates based on the belief that a united community can create a better society for all, echoing the sentiments of humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard.
