NordicTrack EXP 10i Treadmill
Good news for those on the treadmill hunt, the NordicTrack EXP 10i Treadmill takes the lead in the tech-forward, reasonably-priced EXP series. Our very own MH contributor and fitness fanatic, Caroline Lubinsky, had the privilege of testing this treadmill at NordicTrack’s headquarters in Logan, Utah. “I’m, a big fan,” says Lubinsky.
One feature that stood out the most during Lubinsky’s test-run is the shock-absorbing properties of the belt. “I felt a noticeable difference compared to other treadmills throughout a 12-mile run – landings feel cushioned and cradled with each stride, and there’s a springy quality as you rebound from the belt. This thing is fun to run on, period.”
Equipped with a 2.75 continuous Hp motor, this treadmill offers modest speeds of up to 10 MPH and an incline of up to 12%. Lubinsky also noted that this treadmill delivers a quieter experience compared to many other models she’s tested, appreciated by housemates or downstairs neighbors.
Our least favorite thing about this machine is that its deck is 55 inches long rather than the 60-inch decks we typically recommend for seasoned runners. Considering everything else, if you’re tall or looking for a treadmill to log serious training on, this may not be for you. But for most every day running or casual runners, the length won’t be an issue.
Another exciting feature this model boasts is a 10-inch HD touchscreen display that provides on-demand instructor-led classes and programs to guide your runs at any time. The touchscreen display is smaller than more high-tech models, but gets the job done. It is also flanked by quick key buttons for speed and incline, allowing you to easily adjust settings with a single touch and eliminating the need to repeatedly press buttons.
