Two weeks ago, Toyota introduced the refined GR Yaris with even more power. The blown 1.6-three cylinder now delivers 280 hp, combined with a stiffer chassis and dampers, making the Yaris an even more fun pocket rocket. But if that’s not enough, Toyota offers an Ogier Edition or Rovanpëra Edition. The Ogier Edition sports a more subtle look, while the Rovanperä Edition has a more exuberant livery. Both have 18-inch BBS alloys and a special badge highlighting last year’s WRC victory.
New driving modes have been added to enhance performance. The Morizo Mode, developed by ‘Morizo’ Akio Toyoda, helps the Ogier Edition achieve consistent lap times. The Ogier Edition also features the Seb mode for easy rear breakaway, while the Rovanperä Edition has the Kalle mode which adds a looser butt and a special donut mode. Both special editions will be limited in number, with prices yet to be announced.
