It seems everyone but Travis Kelce showed up for Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday on December 13. Unfortunately the pop star’s DOB is not a nationally recognized holiday, which means her boyfriend couldn’t just bail on football practice to be in New York for her big party on Wednesday evening.

According to People, the NFL player remained in Kansas City to prep for his team’s game against the New England Patriots this upcoming Sunday. While these practices were described as mandatory, the publication reports that the couple was able to celebrate Swift’s 34th birthday a bit early following the Chiefs vs. Bills game on December 10.

Of course, Taylor Swift didn’t spend her actual birthday alone. On December 13 the pop star was spotted meeting multiple famous friends at The Box in New York City, dressed in a Midnights-coded sparkly black minidress with crescent moon and star details, which she paired with a faux fur black coat, peep-toed platform pumps, a sparkling silver bag, and her signature red lip.

Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, the Haim sisters, Miles Teller, Keleigh Sperry, Sabrina Carpenter, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Antoni Porowski, and Gracie Abrams were all seen attending the event, according to Page Six. In one video shared on TikTok, even the paparazzi made sure to sing “Happy Birthday” to Swift as she greeted Lively outside the party.

Of course, Travis Kelce wasn’t the only notable T.Swift insider that was missing from the big event. Selena Gomez was not in attendance, despite spending multiple nights with Swift in the days leading up to her birthday. Instead, Gomez shared a sweet tribute to her longtime friend on her Instagram Stories.
