21-year-old Mateus Facio thought he was just another random victim of New Year’s Eve shenanigans when he heard a loud noise, felt a sharp pain, and started bleeding from his head at a party, but he couldn’t have been more wrong…
After just applying some ice to the wound and going on with his New Year’s celebration, Mateus proceeded to drive 300 km (186 miles) home and go about his daily life, without realizing that a bullet was lodged inside his head.
Although this story may sound ludicrous to most people, this unbelievable tale left everyone speechless, including the doctors who had to break the news to him after realizing the stone that hit his head was no stone at all, but a 9mm bullet.
The good news is that after taking a nap and feeling that his left arm was weaker than usual, Mateus had the courage to go to the doctor, where an X-ray revealed the terrible truth. The bullet had to be surgically removed, but despite the risks, the operation was a success, and Mateus is on the road to a full recovery. Talk about starting 2024 with a bang! Wow!
