Xiaomi 14 Ultra Makes a Pit Stop at Geekbench with Enhanced Wireless Charging Ahead of Expected February 2024 Release

A new⁢ concept render of the ‌Xiaomi 14 Ultra based on recent⁣ rumours.⁢ (Image source: Weibo)Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone -‍ the Xiaomi ⁢14 Ultra⁤ – continues to make headlines as new ‌details surface online. The global⁢ version of the ⁣device has appeared on Geekbench, indicating a ⁣potential launch that has fans buzzing with excitement. Notably, renowned⁣ leakers have hinted at a major wireless charging improvement from the ⁤Xiaomi 13 ‍Ultra and ⁣the prospect of a February⁣ 2024 launch in some capacity.

Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone appears to have stopped by Geekbench on its way to market. As the screenshot below shows, someone has⁣ benchmarked ‍’Xiaomi 24030PN60G’, an unreleased smartphone. Typically,⁣ Geekbench does not provide‍ too many device details.

For‍ example, the benchmark listing does ⁤not link 24030PN60G to ‌a retail model name. However, 24030PN60G was seen five months‌ ago alongside 24030PN60C on IMEI databases and ⁣within MIUI code. ⁤According to GSMChina, Xiaomi associated both ⁣model numbers with the codename ‘aurora’, which Geekbench lists under the motherboard section of its 24030PN60G listing.

Additionally, Geekbench tacitly ‍confirms that ⁣there will be a global counterpart to 24030PN60C, denoted by the ‘G’ suffix in 24030PN60G. ‌Moreover, the same listing reveals that 24030PN60G utilizes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, seen below as ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 0 part 3458 revision 1. On top of that, Geekbench highlights that Xiaomi ⁣has complemented the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3‌ with 16 GB of RAM, matching the Xiaomi⁣ 14 Pro. Not⁣ to‍ mention, Xiaomi is thought to be‍ working towards delivering a Xiaomi 13⁢ Ultra⁤ successor using Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, earmarking 24030PN60G and 24030PN60C as global and Chinese versions of the ⁣Xiaomi 14 Ultra, respectively.

Supposedly, the move to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 silicon will coincide with the⁣ adoption of⁤ faster wireless charging, too. Writing on Weibo, Digital Chat Station asserts that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may support 80 W wireless ‌and 100 ‍W wired charging, which would both⁢ be upgrades over the equivalents‌ that the Xiaomi‌ 13 ⁢Ultra provides. For now, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is thought to be‍ arriving as soon as next month, although it remains to be seen in what capacity.
