Get ready, Resident Evil fans! Capcom has exciting plans to remake more games from the beloved franchise. The success of previous remakes has fueled their aggressive approach to revamping these classic games.
At the PlayStation partner awards event in Japan, director Yasuhiro Anpo confirmed that Capcom will be unveiling the next Resident Evil remake in due course. Anpo is the mastermind behind the recent Resident Evil 4 remake for the PS5, which is currently available on Amazon for US$47.87.
Although the specific game hasn’t been announced yet, many speculate that Resident Evil 5 or the original game could be next in line. However, no matter which game Capcom chooses, it’s unlikely to be released anytime soon. According to insider Dusk Golem, we may not see a Resident Evil remake until 2025, with the development of Resident Evil 9 adding even more unpredictability to the release schedule.
