Apart from the rich golden treasures adorning the tomb, a variety of other grave goods were discovered, including ceramic artifacts and pieces of gold jewelry from the deceased’s funerary trousseau—a collection of personal belongings buried alongside the individual to accompany them into the afterlife.

This notion is supported by a previous discovery made by Mayo and her team at El Caño, where the remains of a warrior chief were found buried on top of 25 arranged bodies, all covered with lavish gold grave goods.
