Calling all snow bunnies and mountain lovers! Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is now open in South Lake Tahoe, California, making its debut as the Margaritaville brand’s first ski destination resort. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains, this 399-suite property is an oasis of luxury and relaxation.
“We’re absolutely over the moon to welcome guests and share the laid-back Margaritaville approach with the South Lake Tahoe community and visitors to our stunning destination,” said Bob Jensch, managing director of Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. “We can’t wait to introduce everyone to our little slice of paradise in the mountains.”
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is conveniently located within walking distance of top attractions, including Heavenly Mountain Gondola, the recently completed Tahoe Blue Event Center, and the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe.
After a $70 million overhaul, each suite now boasts starting at 511 square feet with separate bedrooms, spacious living areas, a dining table, and a wet bar. The island-inspired décor and furnishings exude an ambiance of sand, sea, and sky, while elements have been incorporated to accommodate all four seasons and pay homage to the surrounding destination. Not to mention the year-round heated pool with sliding doors that lead to a picturesque patio.
Let’s talk dining—this haven has not one, not two, but five dining establishments, including the hip License to Chill Bar in the lobby, LandShark Bar & Grill, Joe Merchant’s Coffee & Provisions, Come Monday Café, and the luxurious JWB Prime Steak and Seafood. Live music performances will keep visitors entertained at the restaurants during après-ski or happy hour.
And for those planning events? The resort has over 14,000 square feet of flexible indoor-outdoor event space, a ballroom, various meeting spaces, a private dining room, and a proficient event team to ensure that meetings, events, and festivities of all kinds are catered to seamlessly.
