Supporters of Former President Donald Trump are celebrating the fact that the MAGA leader was barely mentioned in the new court documents released in the case involving late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
These documents were unsealed on Wednesday night and revealed the names of several prominent celebrities and politicians, including Trump; however, he was scarcely mentioned, and there was no reference made to any illicit behavior on his part.
The hundreds of pages of documents contain emails and transcripts of depositions regarding the now-settled case brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who alleged that Epstein sexually abused her as a minor. She also made allegations against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in the abuse.
Epstein, who was indicted in 2019 on federal charges of operating a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls, was found dead in his jail cell while awaiting trial.
Among the 40 documents that were released is a deposition of Johanna Sjoberg, who accused Prince Andrew of touching her breast.
While being questioned on whom she gave “massages,” which she described as a code for sex, she was asked twice if she had ever massaged Trump. Sjoberg twice responded both times that she never did.
Newsweek reached out via email on Wednesday to Trump’s representatives for comment.
Wednesday’s release is only the first of what’s expected to be several rounds of disclosed documents with redacted names. However, inclusion doesn’t equate to accusations of any unlawful behavior.
People took to X, formerly Twitter, to weigh in on the hundreds of newly released documents, which contained dozens of high-profile names.

Supporters of Trump argue that the documents prove Trump didn’t engage in illicit behavior. While skeptics said the documents released on Wednesday don’t provide all the information from the Epstein and Maxwell cases.
Jack Poso shared an image of one of the documents on X, saying that the information released Wednesday night clears Trump of wrongdoing.
“EPSTEIN DOCS EXONERATE TRUMP YET AGAIN,” Poso said in the X post.
While sharing several pages of the documents, X user ALX echoed Poso’s sentiment, saying that the “only” times the MAGA leader is mentioned in the documents clear him of wrongdoing.
“The only mentions of Donald Trump in the 1,000 pages of Jeffrey Epstein documents that contain related to a lawsuit brought against Ghislaine Maxwell that have been unsealed are ones that clear him of any wrongdoing,” ALX said in the post.
