Technological advancements have simplified the art world, allowing for easy creation of digital art with modern art programs. One such program is Canvas, a Google-branded app designed for Google Chrome and Chromebook laptops. It provides minute control and simplifies the process of saving, sharing, and sending drawings.
How to access Canvas
The Canvas app can be easily accessed on a Chromebook laptop. Simply follow these steps:
-
On your Chromebook’s home screen, click the Launcher button on the bottom left.
-
In the Launcher panel, click the up arrow to expand the menu.
-
In the app list, find and click the Canvas app.
If the Canvas app is not preloaded on your Chromebook, you can install it by visiting the Canvas website and clicking the install button.
Even without a Chromebook, Canvas can still be used on the Google Chrome browser. Simply visit the Canvas website to access all the same features.
When you open Canvas, you’ll see a gallery of previous projects and two buttons at the top: New Drawing to start a new project from scratch, and New from the image to use an existing image as a background.
Drawing with Canvas
After starting a new project on Canvas, you can draw lines using your mouse or touch screen. The interface offers basic drawing features, allowing you to change line color, brush size, and opacity, as well as choose between five drawing implement styles.
