Springbok captains Jesse Kriel and Siya Kolisi presented All Blacks vice-captain Ardie Savea with a Springboks jersey and a gift as he celebrated his 100th test match at Eden Park on Saturday, 6 September.
The heartwarming gesture charmed fans and highlighted the mutual respect and camaraderie between the two rugby powerhouses.

After the final whistle, Kriel, who led the Springboks, embraced Savea in a moment of genuine warmth. Siya and Jesse presented him with a Springboks jersey and a small gift as a token of appreciation for reaching the milestone.
“Something small from all the boys,” Kriel told Savea, who received the gesture with humility.
Siya Kolisi added,
“I’m proud of you; you deserve it. It’s an honour to play alongside a living legend.”
